I am a weird person who loves weird things, and I sure know how to write optimistic descriptions.
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
I would think, “how mentally defective do they have to be? I’m half their age yet I’ve already seen through the bullshit.” It made sense that the truth should be much easier for them to see since they entered the church from an outside life out of their own accord while people like me are taught that all the inaccuracies, fallacies, and bullshit is absolute truth from birth. We are essentially left to construct a real model of how the world works by ourselves years later; it’s a huge disadvantage when trying to keep up with our peers.
But the truth is, that they made their own choice is exactly why it’s harder for them to take off the tinted glasses. They chose the church and sacrificed their lives for what they believed was the ultimate cause. So the less believable it all turns out to be, the more desperate they can become to validate their entire lives. I’m detached from any commitment because I never made one for the church, there was never any responsibility to hold because I didn’t have a choice. That makes it easier for me to denounce everything I’ve ever believed. I hold much less stake in it than they do. First gens have the commitment and responsibility to adhere to because they made the choice themselves, so of course many of the more hysterical members will believe anything he says as a weekly dose of hope that they did not waste their lives.

Now I know this is nothing intelligent here, this is just a childish joke I had fun with.
Why not? You seem to read all my posts anyway >_>
For the readers who aren’t me this is the guy who sent me those long ass messages about his universal truth that I argued with. He has sent me several more eccentric messages that I haven’t published, some of which claimed that because I already published some of them, God would send good things my way or that recent good events in my life were directly caused by me publishing him. Just for giving the link to what God really believes. So I suppose now that you’re following me, my anxiety will be cured? Or maybe girls will begin to offer blow jobs at the mere sight of me. Yeah tell God I’d prefer the latter.
Better yet tell your God that I wish for him get off his lazy ass, shit out a new messiah, and give the noob some awareness of other cultures, other personalities, and some artistic taste*. Oh and give him qualities that attract normal, healthy people, not just the social and genetic rejects of the 60’s. Finally, tell him if he’s going to help a country’s worst political party and its outdated ideologies grow, he should fuck with his own country.
* Seriously, that logo? Church interior design? If God isn’t ashamed of the church’s ridiculous taste then I would be ashamed of God if I ever discovered his existence. :P
Dear Moon family,
I have never felt as disgusted and angry towards you as I do right now. As I get my own children ready to scrape their own way to college, if they can afford to go, I watch and listen to your words with a deep disgust and outrage at your lifestyle, your words and your abuse…
One of the few moonies with a spine…
You might be a fan of the wearealone, whose name as appeared on this blog before. His tumblr celebrates logic and is filled cynical humor. Not only is that guy intelligent and hilarious, but he is also a former member of the Unification Church and “Blessed Child”. HWDYKYM got the chance to talk…
Thanks for the shoutout!

First of all, who’s really the “pretentious one” here? I haven’t heard you or any one of the writers here reflect at all about their own short-comings or that they might not be 100% correct in their negative opinions about the UC. Also, I Haven’t heard anyone from the UC claim that “the church is untainted.” Now you guys are just making things up. On top of that these articles go back decades to pull up any dirty little facts (“Black HJN”) that you can find to make the UC look as bad as possible with little attempt at a balanced approach. It’s ironic because most of the people I know in the UC are actually trying their best to be as good as possible (which is not the same as “untainted”) — which is more than I can say for these dirty little slanted and inaccurate “exposes.” From what I’ve seen, the UC is painfully aware of its own shortcomings and is trying to correct them. But, anyway I think the real motivation for this site has finally emerged Mr “we-are-alone.” It is fortunate for you “atheists” the US Constitution also protects your little (irrational) religion too (just 20% at last count I think). And yes it is a religion. You actually have to “believe” there is no God — which I find quite a stretch given even the sheer beauty of the agile minds of the writers of these pages. I think you guys are just picking on the UC because you know it’s an already small and unpopular religion and it’s easy. Hey I know, why don’t you try exposing some atheist institutions (who claim themselves to be virtuous) for a change? How about the communist party? What too scary for you?
— respectfully, religiousfreedomforall
Let’s start with the irony in your name and compare it to you falsely calling atheism a religion and then attacking it. If you believe in religious freedom for all, by attacking atheism you are proving that you yourself don’t think it really is a religion. Derp.
As I said in my last submission to HWDYKYM, the original founder of that blog is a faithful Christian ex-moonie. And I take no part in running that blog. I endured a lot of suffering because of the church and I would like to help make sure that others don’t have to. That’s the only thing anyone who supports the blog have in common. I think you’re trying to argue about things you don’t understand at all and you’re caught with your pants down. Atheists are attacking small religions by posing as angry ex-members? Jesus Christ all we want are the separation of church and state. We don’t go on converting missions. I will retract this statement if you can name me a single time an atheist knocked on your door with pamphlets. Derp.
I have no problem with atheist institutions, at least the ones that only support atheism or secularism. If you have problems with places such as the FFRF you can go ahead and start your own blog, see how you do. Communism is not atheism, but communists in the past have been atheists. You seem to not know shit about atheism except what the church tells you because I know it constantly equates communism to atheism.
Our own shortcomings? If you’ve read more than a few posts of HWDYKYM you would know that they admit when they can’t definitively prove it or when they can’t reveal their sources for privacy reasons. This time you’re the one missing the point. Not one of us is claiming to know the absolute truth or be perfect, we are calling out those who do claim to be perfect. If Obama told us he was a perfect man and would make the country perfect before his presidency how fucking infuriated would you be at him right now?
And yes the church does claim to be perfect. Maybe not the the organization itself, actually the organization and the members are usually the most blamed for all the problems in the church but I mean Moon and his family. If you disagree I’m sorry but we must live in two different worlds. Moon claims to be the only perfected human. He once said that God looks up to him. Hyo Jin Moon is glorified and deified despite his well known drug and wife abuse. Moonie apoligists claim “perfect” just means spiritually perfect in a vain attempt to absolve Moon of any worldly mistakes. This is contrary to everything I was told about Moon as a child however, such as plants following him as he walks, fish jumping into boats for him, etc.
I’m sure the church is aware of most of its problems, it just doesn’t do anything about enough of them. If they cared, they would publicly announce and apologize for all wrongdoings. Why wouldn’t they want the members to know everything going on? I’m talking about what comes out of the head organization here, not your local minister trying to make sense out of it.
“respectfully—” Don’t give me that bullshit ya wanker, you just called atheism an irrational little religion and accused me of conspiracy.
Godbless ;)
we are alone
This was a question sent to HWDYKYM and I want to add to their rebuttal. I don’t think that the blog’s answer is incomplete but I’ve met several moonies who think this way and I want to get my personal answer in writing. I submitted it to the blog but whether or not he publishes it, I want it on here too.

It may help you have a larger perspective.
So are you proposing we do away with all religions that have made mistakes? Where shall we start?
As an atheist? Yes, I do think all religions that make huge mistakes are wrong and that these wrongdoings should be in the public knowledge. Leading to atheism. But besides that obvious answer, oh pretentious moonie, you’re missing the point. It’s for very reasons like the above about Catholics and Puritans why Moon claims they are wrong. The church criticizes other religions because of such well-known faults. The church also claims to be “untainted” and that it can do no wrong, that all actions are God-inspired. It has only been recently that some of Moon’s kids started their apologism tours trying to explain how the church can make mistakes and still be right. Anyway when blogs like HWDYKYM come along and show that the church is just like any other religion that makes mistakes, the church loses credibility as the “chosen” religion and becomes just another hypocritical one.
If you actually waited until you were married to lose your virginity, because you are so much a better person than the sniveling snot that we are, you were able to do that, because you were able to wait through everything, through all those feelings, all those hormones, all of that, you could wait, until that night to make love to — for the first time — to the person that you are gonna make love to for the rest of your life… you are a gambler on a level that I have never fuckin’ imagined! My hat is off to you! Wow! What courage!

There is God-centered prophecy that can save us all, (and our descendants), a lot of unnecessary suffering, at:
http://true-parents.blogspot.com
Please take the 8 to 10 hours required to study that blog in its entirety. You’ll be glad you did. The full-truth in that prophecy is being trumpeted around the world, making the current UC/UM infighting oh so much worse than meaningless.
God Bless, ITN & IDFN,

I was not aware that Unification Pathology [i.e. UC Syndrome] is an Academic Subject. You sure speak like you’re a PhD [Pee-Aich-Dee] in the area. You’re full of shit [shee-ba] like many other moonies, you act like an expert to get undeserved credibility. This makes readers more likely to see your opinion as fact. Everyone claiming to know the One Truth (tm) talks the same way.
Denial is the best medicine.
Her: How were you ever brainwashed?
Me: I was told that God exists and Moon is the messiah as if it were fact.
Her: Because it is!
Me: I was never told that that *might* be wrong, so I assumed it was simply right.
Her: What’s wrong with that? You didn’t need to be told that it might be wrong.
Me: One must question everything. An intellectually honest person always must consider the possibility that they are wrong.
Her: No they don’t that’s just what the atheists and anarchists want you to think!
She truly believes that.

It’s a challenge trying to assert that I was brainwashed to someone who is brainwashed.
